Flora & Fauna thru December 14 at Mary Cosgrove Dolphin Gallery
Colors and birds and trees and creatures and flowers… oh my!
This group exhibit is a true beauty, just in time for a burst of color as the last of the autumn leaves fall from the trees and we prepare for six to seven months of browns.
I’m so pleased to share that “In Bursts and Fragments” was juried into the Flora & Fauna show.
The corner of the gallery where it sits is filled with luscious earthy tones.
As you travel throughout the space, there are pastels and bright vibrant pops and subtle colors a like. All truly beautiful. There is also a breadth of creative construction, from paintings of many media to sculpture, felted wool, textile collage, assemblage, and more. I absolutely fell in love during the opening reception.
You can visit to enjoy all of the several dozen works on display October 24 – December 14, 2024, in the Mary Cosgrove Dolphin Gallery, located in the Ghosh Center for Science and Technology in Worcester State University at 486 Chandler Street in Worcester, MA. Gallery admission is always free. I highly recommend a stop if you’re in the area.
If you can’t make it to the show, take a look at the gallery’s Instagram page @wsuvpagallery, click on tagged photos, and view some gorgeous pictures and reels from opening night!
The gallery is open Wednesday – Friday 11 am – 5 pm and Saturdays 1 pm – 5 pm (or by appointment).
“In Bursts and Fragments” hangs on the gallery wall amongst work by Worcester area artists at the Flora & Fauna show at the Mary Cosgrove Dolphin Gallery. Sculpture in foreground by Rebecca Strauss. Other work will be labeled and attributed to artists as soon as I return to the gallery to take pictures of their associated labels!
I apologize—especially to my fellow artists!—for the oversight when taking the photo at the reception.
