Letters from Artitopia

Get the next best thing to a deep chat irl… (and maybe open the door to making that happen!)

Social media sites come and go. Algorithms don’t show us everyone we follow. Bookmarked websites and open tabs pile up with the best intentions to retun.

But an email is an intimate invitation to communicate in words and pictures.

news and the muse: letters from artitopia is my commitment to stay connected, to share with you the raw and the real, the wow and the wonderful of life as an artist.

Signing up for a newsletter is a big commitment these days, and I don’t take that for granted.

When you open my letter, I want you to feel special.

I want you to know what’s happening in my life… as an artist and as a human. What’s juicy? What’s capturing my attention? What’s feeling scary or on the edge?

I want to invite you to share what’s happening in your life. What’s got you excited? What are you harnessing the courage to try? Who are you becoming?

And I want to take a moment to imagine and breathe together a world of wide open creativity, a world where anything is possible… a world I’m calling artitopia.

I promise to keep you informed, and to invite you along for the ride as I release bits and pieces of my imagination taking shape and form.

And I also seek to keep you connected to the muse… mine and the one you carry within.

To quote the late, great John Lennon:

“…you may say I’m a dreamer. but I’m not the only one…”

Shall we dream together?

Alana Garrigues, the author and artist of this site, is pictured looking up at the sky on a sunny day in the forest. Overlaid on the photo is an image of the forest, looking up to the tree canopy and through to the sunshine. The image is two photographs put together into one, by the FotoDa app.
