Join the WCA Massachusetts for a FREE art panel and workshop.

We’ll be talking about some of our favorite women artists in history, and how they inspire us today.

I’ll be talking about Jay DeFeo, whose work I fell in love with after staring open-mouthed at “The Jewel” for a good half hour on New Years Day 2017 at LACMA (the Los Angeles County Museum of Art).

Women’s Caucus for Art (WCA) Massachusetts panelists include Cicek Beeby, speaking about Zehra Dogan, and Nicol Wander, speaking about Lottie Reiniger. The panel will be moderated by WCA Mass President Joanne Stowell. The program is funded through a grant from the Mass Cultural Council.

An interactive drawing and creativity workshop immediately follows the panel. All materials will be provided.

The full program – including panel discussion and workshop – runs from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Main Street Studios located at 675 Main Street in Fitchburg, MA. It is free to attend and open to all.
