Hello dear beauty,

How are you doing? Are you hanging in there? Tending to yourself? Remembering to take some deep breaths?

It’s *a lot* right now in this world, and I hope that you have some form of creativity in your life to hold you and offer a sense of peace and aliveness.

I’ve been baking bread… I began my very first sourdough starter from scratch on New Year’s Eve and am finding my way.

(Beginner hint: I’m being gentle with myself and allowing for a hybrid dough… between the young starter and the cold temperatures, my bread was tasting delicious but not rising. So, until things warm up, I’m still keeping the starter wild, but adding just a touch of commercial yeast in the dough. Game changer! Now it’s delicious and it rises like it should!)

I’ve also been looking outside at snow and naked trees, appreciating their beauty while also challenging myself to remember how warmth feels and what green looks like. And, of course, I’ve been making art.

I wanted to pop in very briefly with a couple of save the dates, so without further ado, here they are!
